Get Involved with East Hill Youth!

Plans are underway for youth group next year! Currently we are looking for help from the congregation. We have a variety of volunteer opportunities that involve different levels of commitment:

High Commitment:
Youth Leader & Assistant Youth Leader (open to students and adults)

Youth Leaders have direct involvement with our students on a weekly basis. In essence, they are "youth pastors" to their small group of students. The commitment is high (weekly youth events) but it is a worthwhile endeavor! You have a great opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students by helping them move towards positive choices and walking along side them as they explore what it means to follow Jesus. The Assistant Youth Leader role is perfect for someone who has the desire to be a Youth Leader but lacks experience. By working together closely with a Youth Leader the Assistant grows into new responsibilities. Students in grade 10 and up are invited to apply to be an Assistant Leader!

Medium Commitment:
Food Team Supervisor

The Food Team Supervisor organizes the Food Team so that there is always someone taking care of snack at youth. This position will not be all that time consuming but it will require weekly action.

Low Commitment:
Food Team & Welcome Host

As a member of the food team you would be responsible to provide snack at a youth event once a rotation (we're shooting for once a month but with enough help it could be even less). The Welcome Host greets students as they arrive at youth and then keeps an eye on things during the youth event. Both positions will ideally be a once a month commitment (or less if enough people sign up).
